AI Transparency
How JARO uses AI, what it can do, and its limitations.
You are interacting with an AI system. JARO's responses are generated by large language models (LLMs). JARO does not replace professional advice — medical, legal, financial, or otherwise. Always verify important decisions with qualified human professionals.
What JARO is
JARO is an AI-powered planning and scheduling assistant. It uses large language models (currently including Google Gemini and OpenAI GPT models) to understand your planning goals, generate suggestions, break down tasks, and help you think through priorities.
JARO is a general-purpose conversational AI applied to planning and productivity. It does not have specialized medical, legal, or financial training.
What JARO can do
- Understand and respond to natural language planning requests
- Break down complex goals into steps and subtasks
- Suggest scheduling approaches based on priorities and constraints you describe
- Remember context from earlier in your conversation to give more relevant advice
- Help you think through decisions using structured reasoning frameworks
- Provide productivity coaching and habit formation guidance
What JARO cannot do
- ✕ Access your calendar, email, or external systems unless you explicitly describe them in chat
- ✕ Execute actions on your behalf (book meetings, send emails, make purchases)
- ✕ Guarantee accuracy of time-sensitive information (news, market data, regulations)
- ✕ Replace professional advice from qualified medical, legal, or financial advisors
- ✕ Retain information across sessions unless context memory is explicitly enabled
Known limitations
As with all LLM-based systems, JARO may occasionally produce responses that are incorrect, inconsistent, or confidently stated but factually wrong ("hallucinations"). For any important decision, verify JARO's suggestions against authoritative sources.
JARO's quality is continuously evaluated through automated evaluation pipelines. We publish capability and quality metrics that are derived from our internal testing infrastructure, not from marketing claims.
Data and privacy
Your conversation content is processed by JARO's backend and by third-party LLM providers (Google, OpenAI) to generate responses. Conversations may be stored to provide context continuity.
See our Privacy Policy for complete details on data collection, processing, retention, and your rights including access, correction, and deletion.
EU AI Act compliance note
JARO discloses its AI nature to users in accordance with Article 50 of the EU AI Act. When you interact with JARO, you are interacting with an AI system, not a human. This disclosure is provided at the start of every interaction and on this page.
JARO is not currently classified as a high-risk AI system under the EU AI Act. We will update our compliance posture as regulatory guidance evolves.
